Feeding Cities Online Conference – Seeds of Change: Transforming Food System

The transformation of a food system is not without its challenges, but fortunately, the FUSILLI project has plenty of success stories to share. Building on the success of the first Feeding Cities Conference last June, this second edition promises to be an enriching event.  

Join the online Conference on 11 July from 9:30 to 13:30 to explore the transformative journey of food systems and plant the seeds of change. The conference will open with an inspiring keynote followed by interactive presentations and discussions inspired by the Hungry for Exchange webinar series, “Waste-Less Cities: Smart Solutions for Urban Food Sustainability”. Representatives from the City of Athens and the City of Rijeka will share insights into their best practices and planned solutions related to sustainability and food waste reduction. 

Look forward to contributions from: 

• Giorgos Keranis, Action Research Practitioner and Policy Analyst specializing in sustainable food systems and social economy. 
• Emira Brkić Karninčić, Researcher working on projects in sustainable urban development and smart city solutions as part of Rijeka’s FUSILLI team 

The last part of the conference will take place in parallel breakout rooms, stimulating lively, small-group conversations.
