FoSSNet Shares Insights at AgroServ Workshop

FoSSNet had the chance to be represented and participate in a recent workshop, “Research Infrastructures Towards Agroecological Transition: How to Boost Our Impact by Working Together?”, hosted by CIHEAM Bari.
The event, held as part of the AgroServ project, gathered experts and stakeholders to explore the role of research infrastructures in accelerating the agroecological transition.

FoSSNet partner – Matteo Sabini from EUFIC – was present to share project examples and future plans related to transdisciplinary work in food systems science as FoSSNet is deeply rooted in interdisciplinary collaboration. The workshop presented a unique opportunity to:
- Discuss how to apply transdisciplinarity in agroecology, ensuring that multiple disciplines come together to address complex food systems challenges.
- Define standards for monitoring the agroecological transition, with a focus on setting measurable and impactful targets.
- Explore the role of research infrastructures, identifying ways to enhance the effectiveness of research networks in supporting sustainability transitions.
The discussions were insightful, and the event offered valuable networking opportunities. For FoSSNet, this was an exciting chance to engage with others committed to sustainability and to explore potential future collaborations.
FoSSNet is looking forward to continuing these meaningful conversations and explore future collaborations!
